Where Dennis stands
Strong test scores matter — and so does the science lab, the band room, and the art class. Hands-on STEM, the arts, and music keep students engaged, build teamwork and persistence, and give kids who don’t see themselves in a textbook a place to shine. Dennis, a lifelong musician, has helped the board expand these opportunities, and he wants to keep going.
Priorities
- Expand hands-on STEM — labs, robotics, and project-based learning — across grade levels.
- Keep music and visual and performing arts a real part of every school, not an add-on.
- Grow partnerships with local organizations that bring arts and science into classrooms.
- Make sure every campus has fair access to these programs.
Every kid deserves the chance to find the thing that makes school click for them.
